Tye Biddle
Airfield Construction Manager at Lagan International
Absolutely STS are one of the leaders at what they do. If they weren’t experts, we would be trying to do it in-house rather than relying on others but because we know we can rely on STS we have never even considered it. Reliability is massive. There is a lot of moving parts within the job. If one of those parts fall in, the whole job comes to a standstill. We use STS because they make it easy for us. They’re always trying to accommodate our needs wherever they can even if it is in the middle of the night. If they say they’re going to be there, we know they will be there.

Wash Plant
Dewatering Solutions
In instances where the concentration of solids within water is so great, the characteristics of the liquid can change from free-flowing to that of a viscous slurry. Whilst also considered to be a “dirty water problem”, the reality is that a very different approach is required to solve the challenge.
This has been developed to receive material of this kind for the purpose of reducing its moisture content through the removal of water from the solids, changing its characteristics from a liquid to solid (dry waste instead of liquid) and therefore reducing volume of disposal to landfill.
Chemical Dosing
The chemical dosing system enables the controlled and automatic introduction of process chemicals to safely treat even the most challenging of waters. Whether it be the manipulation of pH to a user set level, the precipitation of dissolved metal species to form insoluble particles or the coagulation/flocculation of non-settling solids, the chemical dosing system ensures even the most stringent of discharge levels are met.
